Course Overview:


Marketing is vital for businesses to meet customer needs, involving researching, developing, promoting, and distributing products/services. Marketing roles exist within companies/agencies or internal teams. Marketing Executives work with Marketing Managers to plan and execute marketing activities. They manage channels, plan campaigns, produce materials, network, analyse research, achieve brand positioning, and organise events. They report to a Marketing Manager, with job titles including Marketing Executive and Marketing Specialist.

Entry Requirements:

  • Desirable to have achieved a level 2 in maths and English (equivalent to GCSE Grade C or above)
  • For those with an education, health and care plan or a legacy statement, the apprenticeship’s English and maths minimum requirement is Entry Level 3. A British Sign Language (BSL) qualification is an alternative to the English qualification for those whose primary language is BSL

  • Market Research
      • Conducting effective market research, including selecting appropriate data collection methods and understanding when to use qualitative and quantitative approaches.

    • Developing and managing products and channels, including creating product portfolios and selecting the most effective marketing communication channels for reaching target audiences.

      • Delivering marketing projects/tasks/events on time and within budget while effectively liaising with internal and external stakeholders, including suppliers

      • Monitoring project budgets within their scope of work using appropriate systems and controls

      • Evaluating marketing campaign effectiveness by analysing data and research findings to derive insights and support improvements to future campaigns

    • Using appropriate business systems and software to efficiently deliver marketing outcomes, including digital/web analytics, social media, and CRM
